Kevin Ornduff

Don’t be surprised if you walk in on Kevin practicing deep-water breathing techniques or jamming on his air guitar to some hardcore metal band. Kevin is the epitome of an adventure buff; he thrives on explorations of the unknown and is always ready for more. Despite being a Kansas resident and land-locked for most of his life, Kevin is a certified scuba diver and has logged an impressive 20 dives in the Caribbean. One of these days he aspires to dive in the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia, snapping pictures of awesome sea creatures and (hopefully) avoiding the dangerous ones. An Eagle Scout, it is no surprise Kevin is a big fan of the outdoors; some of his greatest memories are from adventure trips he has taken in New Mexico. Kevin also demonstrated his commitment to service while earning his Eagle—he spent over 200 hours coordinating and leading an effort to reconstruct a courtyard for a local Boys and Girls Club in downtown Kansas City.

When he isn’t climbing mountains or diving into the depths of the ocean, Kevin practices his skills in marketing. Over the summer, Kevin interned for Intouch Solutions, a pharmaceutical marketing firm, splitting his time between email Customer Relationship Management (eCRM) and product management teams. Currently, he is a PR Coordinator for the Mizzou Student Foundation, helping to orchestrate fundraisers for book scholarships.

While some students might sneer at “overachievers” and dream of throwing paperwads at them, Kevin’s can-do attitude is infectious, inspiring his peers to emulate his drive and energy
