As a kid, Wendy wanted to be a fire truck when she grew up (yes, a fire truck) and now she is one for Mojo Ad. As a public relations account executive, her job is to put out communication fires and build strong community relations so YAYAs don’t think Mojo Ad’s message is just smoke. To stay current with YAYAs, Wendy watches CNN, TiVos 80 hours of TV a week and is addicted to Facebook. Just the other day, she actually maxed out her iGoogle page with the top viewed YouTube videos. She’s been hosing down fires for a while by doing PR work as an intern for Guthrie Mayes Public Relations and the Louisville International Airport. While working at the airport, she had to field media requests after a flaming airliner skid off the runway, and calm an assortment of irate passengers who had lost luggage, paid too much for their tickets or endured preposterously long delays. Public relations, though, isn’t just putting out fires. She also uses her experience in media relations, community relations, event planning and promotions to improve the image and consumer perception of all our clients. Mojo Ad is thrilled to have an actual fire truck on board.
