Excited to be returning to a new position this semester, Katiy is quickly learning the ins and outs of being an account executive. Her advertising experience is extensive, including working in advertising sales for both the Columbia Missourian and The Maneater. Last summer, she interned as a brand manager for Sullivan, Higdon and Sink in Kansas City, and over Christmas Break, Katiy interned with Barkley, working in their public relations department. In addition to her journalism degree, Katiy is also a proud graduate of US Space Camp in Huntsville, Al. As a child, she dreamed of dancing on Broadway and wanted to become the next Shirley Temple (complete with blonde hair, mind you). Today, she no longer sings and dances, but if you play “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire, you will definitely get her to belt out some lines. One of her main joys in life is checking out new media on the Internet. Whether it's the quick fix or the multi-tasking she enjoys most, Katiy certainly stays up-to-date with advertising trends.
