Barbara Ifshin
Director of Account Management and PlanningWhy, one might ask, leave the magical world of Disney to come to mid-Missouri? Barbara came to teach. It has always been her passion, and right now, in addition to Mojo Ad, she is teaching strategic communication management and a campaigns class. Before coming to the Missouri School of Journalism, Barbara was Senior Vice President of Advertising and Creative Services for the Walt Disney World Resort, which entailed developing and leading Disney’s in-house agency, the Yellow Shoes Creative Group, and managing the relationship with Leo Burnett in Chicago. She was responsible for all of the advertising and creative for Disney World and the Disney Cruise Line. In doing so, she was the catalyst for a marketing transformation–from a product approach to an emotional, consumer segment approach. The result was more than six record years of attendance. Whoa, there Barbara, that’s big! And before that? She worked at Young & Rubicam New York, where she led accounts like AT&T, Johnson and Johnson and JELL-O. Now Barbara is working her magic on strategic communication students and Mojo Ad clients just as she did for Disney.
