Kylie Tutko
A cold weather girl living in a warm weather world, Kylie prefers the climate of her hometown of Colorado Springs, although she recently “survived” a spring semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina. While there, she racked up not one, but two separate internships: one at Avant-Garde doing event planning for clients such as Johnson & Johnson and Samsung, and another where she put her dual major in Spanish to use translating press releases.
Back in slightly more temperate Columbia, Kylie continues to keep herself busy both on and off campus, participating in everything from Relay for Life to MU’s journalism student council (of which she was president), to serving on the steering committee for Caring for Columbia, a day where 500 students provide a total 2,500 hours of community service in a single day, all for the Columbia community.
It seems like everyone wants Kylie to represent them as she is not only a certified journalism ambassador for MU, but holds a tri-chair position as a member of the Honors College Ambassadors, too (which grants her a spiffy looking name tag and business cards to prove she’s the real deal). She’s also on the social media front lines of her sorority, Chi Omega, keeping their blog and Twitter account current and relevant.
And when Kylie gets some time to relax, staying cooped up at home is not an option; she prefers to go camping, rafting or hiking instead.
